Steel Branding Selected by City of Georgetown to Design New Website

AUSTIN, Texas (December 17, 2014) — Steel Branding is proud to have been selected by The City of Georgetown to redesign, the home of Georgetown’s government services and public information online. Steel Branding will work closely with the City’s Public Communications Department on creating a digital strategy, design and front-end development – all based on extensive user research, to provide a best in class public information resource for Georgetown’s residents, visitors and business owners.

Georgetown is among the fastest-growing cities in the country, with more than  53,000 residents currently. The site, which has not been through a top-to-bottom redesign since  2003 requires improvements to help support the rapid community growth and increased city services. The goal for the new site is to make it more usable, intuitive, and accessible than ever before.

“ is more than just a website – it’s how the people of Georgetown stay connected,” said Keith Hutchinson, Public Communications Manager for the City of Georgetown. “It was important for us to find a vendor that could easily take a large amount of information and transform it into a format that is intuitive for users to navigate, request services and find out what’s happening in their city. We watched how Steel Branding accomplished this for the City of Austin, and we are excited to see what they can do for us.”

The new website will launch in 2015.
