We Helped Montrose Light Up Houston & The Super Bowl Lit Up Twitter

On February 2, 2017, the arched bridges above US 59 in Houston were lit for the first time in almost 10 years to celebrate the Houston Super Bowl. The Montrose Management District, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) and the Houston-Galveston Area Council worked together to plan and execute the new, low-energy LED lighting system in time for the Super Bowl.

Steel Branding implemented the PR strategy and PR outreach for the event. During the lighting showcase, the Houston Super Bowl Twitter account retweeted not only Montrose District’s tweet about the bridge lighting, but also Mayor Sylvester Turner’s and TxDoT’s tweet about the event. The hashtag #MontroseisLit also trended locally. This was a very successful PR project and Steel is proud to help promote the relighting of this beautiful asset in the Montrose district.
