Steel undertook a rebranding initiative for Mom’s Pasta Sauce, a brand under Fischer & Wieser Specialty Foods. The goal was to revitalize its image and boost sales by adapting to meet the evolving values of their target audience.

A key element of the rebranding strategy was leveraging the intimate, nostalgic appeal of the brand’s identity and Mom, while at the same time modernizing the design. Steel used the brand’s history as well as information about the modern consumer to inform the visual branding. This comprehensive package design overhaul reflects the brand’s nostalgic roots while leveraging a bold new background color to stand out on store shelves. The new design conveyed the quality and authenticity of the product, and built upon the trustworthy, homemade image.

Through this package design initiative, Steel revitalized Mom’s Pasta Sauce, solidified its position as a beloved household staple, and drove significant sales growth.
