Government Outreach Program
The Department of Public Safety (DPS) recognized the urgent need to protect Texans. As a result, it launched a statewide government outreach program, Safe Gun Storage Texas, to promote safe gun storage. Steel took on the task of creating a campaign that would make a real impact.
Despite a tight eight-week timeline, we quickly developed and executed a strategy that resonated with Texans. The government outreach program aimed to educate gun owners and encourage responsible practices, all while staying true to local values.
Our plan included advertising, public relations, social media, and a microsite. We also created educational materials. The messaging remained clear and consistent, appealing to Texas’s diverse gun owners. This led to the creation of the “Keep ’em safe, Texas” campaign. It resonated with Texan pride and a shared sense of responsibility.
The microsite was the centerpiece of the government outreach program. It provided a platform for resources on safe gun storage. Visitors could easily download and share these materials, spreading awareness and encouraging safe practices.
By developing a strong marketing strategy and using innovative tactics, we built a culture of safety. The government outreach program successfully engaged people across Texas and promoted responsible gun storage.
